I'm on my first Coco grow and I can make a 10 L mix in a minute or so. If I go on holiday, that would be the only time I would pre mix loads and then use drippers and timers etc

I see what you mean M_C about pH down. Some are orders of magnitudes stronger than others.

I pre store upto 48 litres of water in a bin though with air stone running

Always will get salt. Its what's left after the water has evaporated.

(Hard) Tap water does the same

Unless you are precipitating large crystals I wouldn't worry. End of the day you are checking EC before feeding

You don't really want an air stone to mix your nutes you need a small pump to do that I have taken my air stone out of my rez as my pH was drifting all the time now I have a pump and it only moves a point ever side of what I set it at a plus I don't get hardly any salt build up as the pump has a filter which catches most of it and I clean it out every few weeks 👍

that sounds good was hoping to use the airstone for oxygen though maybe its more hassle using airstone then its worth? I was worried that the salt at the bottom would harm the plants if I carry on using it?

oh I checked the ph as well and it read 6.8 would that be why its causing the salts to appear like that? maybe I need to keep the ph with in 5.7-.6.4 in the res?
