Which HPS to get?

Hello once again,
Im thinking on upgrading my grow space to a 80X80X160 tent.
I was using a 150w HPS during my grow and was wondering which bulb is ideal for this kind of space.
Also how many plants can I keep in a 80X80X160 tent? And what would be the size of the pots (im using smart pots)?

I run a 600 in a 90x90x160 and a 400 in a 90x60x90 with 2 plants in each. Ideal size tent is 1200x1200 square if you have space, 4 or 5 plants. Its my next purchase

you could get away with using a 400w in 80x80 'you want a minimum 50w psF' so your space needs 450w for total coverage
id buy a dimmable 600w so if you ever get a bigger tent/space you won't need to upgrade the ballast again,

don't forget the bulb creates more heat so extraction might need updated also,

pot size == veg time, the longer you veg the more space the roots need,
a good basic guide is 1 Lt = 1 weeks veg,

Yep since those HPS bulbs are crazy hot I was thinking about getting an air cooled reflector and attach like 2 vents to it, think that'll do the job.

And sorry I didn't quite get you there, 1 liter mean 1 week of veg?
So a 11 liter pot 11 weeks of veg O_o?

ideally you want to double the pot size before you flip to flower
during stretch the roots also have an explosion in growth,

so 11lt pots would be 6/7 week veg, then repot from 6lt into the 11's on the start of flower
this isn't science but i found it works well for me,

i've used 18lt/22lt pots before but at the end when i check the rootball the space isn't fully filled/used,


i hope that explains it a little better

edit/ to add /this is in reference to photoperiod plants, autos don't need repotting and you would start in the finishing size from the start,

It depends om how big and how many cola's you want. I would say at least 30 days veg, and up to 60 if you want much bigger plant. JMO Here is one I have at 32 days veg, but thinking of taking her at least 42 or maybe even the full 60. lol

It will be a little slow, but all right. Here is one veg under 23W CFL 24/0 for 3 weeks, you can see how cute she is, but not big at all. If you want her to be a big plant in 3 weeks, I would use the MH on her.
