    Default has anyone ever put a diesel generator behind a r dwc system?

    including two air pumps in case one goes down

    appreciate anything back on this, it's a greenhouse for strawberries.

    You using the generator for incoming power ? Or as a back up device. I can’t see any issues as long as it’s creating ac current and not dc . I’m not 100% if the dc current would work with a digital ballast 🇬🇧

    DC is not good to use with HPS systems anyway, as DC is always positive on one side, contacts, electrodes etc will burn out much quicker. DC 'shouldn't' work with an AC ballast as the filters 'should' strip away the DC before it gets anywhere useful but that depends on manufacturer. I wouldn't want to try it though

    backup power yep...the current will be ac for sure...how many peoples crops have been destroyed i wonder by roots being drowned?

    backup battery power by way of a ups for the air pump only!

    UPS with a bigger battery will do you fine for the pump

    You can go a bit further if you like with a 5KW hybrid inverter with auto mains changeover and 6 kwhrs of deep cycle batteries 😁
