I got a chiller on the alien but I never ran it with the wilma with decent enough results. Once u have a decent canopy creating shade Over the wilma it should stay cool enough. I never got any root rot maybe because the water pills air down thru the medium refreshing the root zone where as dwc its continually submerged.

I run a chiller on a 8 pot Wilma system. It's really only on the hottest days of summer that the res temps get out of hand but my chiller is always on and set at 19°. It's a mixture of my OCD and fear of things like pythium, root rot etc. 😉
