    Default experiments with lm561c

I have been thinking about making my own knock off quantum board i have first made 2 small scale test boards to see how hard the smd soldering would be the first board wasn't the greatest soldering job in the world but the second one was okClick image for larger version.

Surface mount technology requires the right kit and by the look of the soldering I don't think you have it.

Have a look at the kits on eBay, they are cheaper than everyone thinks

Don't think you could make from discrete components cheaper than that

BTW 3500 K is the sweet spot for veg and flower in binned 6 lm561c

well if that £227 pounds just for the board i could get the leds and the driver for that . i'm planning to use solder paste and my hot air station i agree the soldering doesn't look the greatest but that because i didn't use solder mask and to save printer ink i left a lot of copper areas and thats were a lot of excess solder flowed to because at the time i was using a rather large chisel bit which was a bit difficult to use

Look your soldering is as good as any, it's just you shouldnt hand solder smd chips

    That kit is for everything
