Default Which extractor fan would you recommend for an 8080160cm grow tent ?

Need a good quality maintenance free extractor fan to attach to my rhino carbon filter "4inch" so that obviously dictates the size of the fan. I am looking for something that will shift ideally 350 m3h
    Thanks in advance

I have the ram 4" twin speed on a 4" red Scorpion filter in my 60x60x140. Sucks the tent inside out pretty much on the lowest setting. Works a dream, not a whiff of smell 👍🏻

Yeah - I just use a cheapo controller and manually turn it up and down when needs be...tent wall concave on 20%.

I'm almost too embarrased to say, but it works for me as I have the time (and the necessary OCD) to turn it up and down when I need to.

It was less than 10 on Amazon, I think.

Low isn't THAT low and high IS full power, but you'll get a feel for it after a week or so. I have a tiny tent and a vaguely industrial extractor and this does what I need it to do.

As jokes says I would aim for the L1 if you want 300+ m3 per hour. 4 inch fans are struggling much over 200.

You can get cheap 5 inch to 4 inch reducers at toolstation.

That rhino filter will be on its limit though

Careful with those cheapie controllers dude... mine hummed then my fan popped. I'm using a rhino twin speed on low setting for my 90x90x60 tent and still get plenty of negative pressure. Mines in a box so isn't too loud, tho it's louder on the higher speed. I'm new to the game tho so nothing to compare to but I've read it's not the quietest around.

You will have trouble with any controller if your fan is twin speed. I've blown many fans and controllers trying.

Your best off buying a high speed fan and letting the controller sort the speeds for you.😉

I had wanted one of those cheapie controllers but my local shop talked me into getting a SMSCOM one. I know the opinions on them vary on here, but mine's been good so far, been using it for about a year.

What light are you using? If it's a 400w or below a 4 inch rvk will be fine. I personally wont use a controller on a small fan. Reason being my sms thermostatic controller failed when I was away on my 6 inch rvk, meaning my fan stopped working too. Not good, I was lucky.

I got the controller fixed under sms guarantee and flogged it on ebay!
