    Default Ozone is Useful.

Way back, I had a Slime problem in Hydro, it cost me all the plants.
I ordered an Ozone Generator, but it arrived late, so it just sat on the shelf, then I found the Instruction manual.
The Small unit I purchased could be used to make O3 Drinks, I thought Ozone was poisonous so I read on.
Bubbling through water the Generator smells a bit but it imparts an extra Oxygen Atom in the water, which can actually be drunk!
I wondered if this would be good for watering new plants, it sure is, they love it, although the Oxygen doesn't stay there for long
The gas can be used to make items sterile as well, Do it outside as Ozone gas is really harmful to Plants and Humans.
Ozone gas can also be use to kill smells, basically in place of a Carbon Filter, my unit is too small for this though, but they make units that do.
If you use it carefully, it's extremely useful, but it can damage your lungs, so watch out.
BTW, I don't actually use a Carbon Filter, I use an Ionizer in the exhaust, for small to micro grows this works extremely well.

O3 in air is unstable & wishes to get back to being O2 again... therefore it will drop it's extra Oxygen atom with ease. This makes it a great smell killer as it will break down organic long chains (EG odours) - but beware! The reason that O3 smells like bleach is that the extra Oxygen atom has reacted with your mucous membranes, forming H2O2 - hydrogen peroxide.

A good rule of thumb is, if you can smell chlorine/bleach then the unit is too close/powerful.

Oh I agree with all your comments, I don't and would never condone breathing it in, the O3 water it can though is a different matter, my girls love it.

Just had a peek on ebay, there are hundreds of Ozone in-line 'Smell busters' on there, most are for hydro, of course you need good external ventilation, that's a given, I did put warnings in my original post about it's dangers, but it's a very effective method of smell removal.

I get that you could be responsible with it but I couldn't let it blow out of the extract onto passers by.

Illegal in California ( but that's not saying much )

Well, Roots just love any oxygen we can give them, that's why in DWC roots can be submerged and the plant doesn't 'Drown', O3 water is becoming the norm here on my grow as it seems to work really well. not sure I'd trust Ozone in my grow area though but they actually sell wall mounted units, ( I wouldn't use one though! ), specifically for Grow areas , Eeeeeek!
What's your cunning Plan ggotch?, I'm curious as well as being quite insane, still that's stopped me from going Mad?
