Default Increasing light cycle mid flowering

    Hi guys,

So my 250w HPS was running 18/6 in a desperate attempt to control high temperatures. Atlases, this was futile so I made the switch to the Migro 100w LED Cob. Happy to report my environment is now bang on 😁

Is it a bad idea to increase the light cycle 40+ days into autos. More light, more growth but will this cause stress? Or do autos no care either way?

I planned to bump it up by 15/30 mins per day. Possibly going up to 24/0 since cannabis is a C3 plant.

    Cheers

Autos are very resilient when it comes to light hours. If you can handle the temperature then increase the hours.

I flowered my auto with my photos under 11/13

Still pulled nearly 5 oz from her

Temps are significantly better (down from 34.7 to 29.9 max).

I'm thinking the heat didn't do the girls any favours so any extra light has to be beneficial?

If the extra light comes with extra heat no it won’t be benificial at all... High temps ruin bud quality I’d sooner keep the temps in check and go for the quality over quantity.

If leaving the light on a 18/6 cycle keeps it cooler in there. Stick with that

I checked my temps over the last 24 hours on 18/6

    Min: 22.4c lights off
    Max: 28.6c
    Average: 27-28c

Do you reckon I should put them on 24/0? Even on the hottest of days, I only hit 29.6c plus the light is dimmable so I can keep the temps perfect with like a 5-10% decrease in light output if needed

I run my 300w LED 20-4. Even through the mad heat we had,max temp only got to 31 degrees.
