I always think soil is easier for new growers, just to learn about bytes, how plant grows, room needed, ect..

Here's the place to be though if your doing Coco!
I remember reading of using a mix so that's what I went out and bought, but was doing reading on here and it seems I should use either coco or soil, so I'm unsure what to do. I check on the plant everyday a couple times a day, I just want the best quality I can get. Yield is important, but not why I'm doing this, quality over everything for me.

I think its one of those things were the soil growers will say soils best and coco growers will say coco is the best. Judging by the diaries Ive read if your going coco you will probably need a mentor if your a first timer. Soil is much less to worry about and alot of people say its your best choice for a first grow. My advice would be do a soil grow and then get a mentor and go coco for the second.

Or go coco and get a post up in the mentor request section and see if you can grab yourself a guru lol

    Coco will yeild more.

    Soil is easier I think.

Why don't you ask in the mentor thread before you start and ask for a mentor for Coco.

That's what I'd do. If no takers do soil.

Someone will help you out I'm sure

Coco is hydroponics, soilless medium. If that makes sense?

Most of the time CatSpot is A better yield, but if you know your organic soil really good, you can produce more with Organic grow than in the coco.

Only if you get it right. My coco soil side by side was about even but had lots of problems.

If you mix soil and coco I would consider it a soil grow. The added coco will soften the soil and add to moisture retention.

Day 26, August 10th: These updates are going to get a little blander as it will be a very mild attempt at letting this continue doing it's own thing. All my focus is on my mentored grow with Joker and this is merely a learning experience at this point.

Day 27, August 11th: Definitely seems to have recovered, but the growth is so slow it's insane. I'm eager to see what the ph and ec of the run off is at.

Day 28, August 12th: Weird to think the plant in coco should surpass this 10 days from now, I wish she wasn't such a dwarf now cause' it looks really pretty
