    Default The perfect space!

    I've recently moved house.
I have this large area in my garden.
I've worked out I should have a area of 9m2.

I was thinking a contrete base a single skin blockwork. stud on internal rockwool insulation with a flat wooden roof.

I wanna try keep this as blended as I can

    Any and all suggestions welcome

Before you throw the concrete slab, put some basic plumbing and electrics in. Run off, and mains supply water wise and a nice armoured cable for the power supply.

Yeah I was thinking a armoured. I have power in the garage for a spur but it's only twin and earth.
I have a outdoor tap so could run a fresh pipe under the grass.

The waters a very good point though haven't even thought of it!

    Any other suggestions ?

    I want the perfect space

Do you reckon it would need insolating? I'm based northern England

I'm gonna clear the area Saturday but I want the trees to remain as much as possible

Just as you and viz have already spoken about. Are you building single skin block or using a cavity. If using a cavity no need for insulation on the walls just a good coat of masonry paint in flat white. Make sure you fill any holes for nastys to hide in . In the slab also think air flow and drainage. You could build ya intake into the slab and have it looking like a drain or just keeping it as low as possible. Going to need some sort of inner door so the light doesn’t escape as ya open front door. Out take could be made to look like a chimney for a wood burner coming from the new space and run into the garage. Have ya thought about a living roof with grass and meadow flowers . Or what type of roof you going to use depends on insulation again. 🇬🇧

Let the shed be a shed, but you build it big enough to put a quality tent inside. That allows you to have separation from flowering plants and sunlight or other light sources. Nice and contained and if/when you move you just take your tent with you and leave a nice shed behind.

What I mean is GB - the shed as a groom is the ideal hell I want one too. But folks sell houses and move on, or have land lords come do inspections. It is easier to shift a tent than a shed...

If I had the space and the money I would have a groom of note. Three sections, one for veg and propagation and other only for flowering with the final section drying and storage.

And I get what ya meant in the first post viz . I thought building my room was easier than putting that tent up in my loft , I’m sure the fucking thing trapped me inside at one point. 😂🤪😂🇬🇧 and I still like a living roof tho 🇬🇧
