So been none stop thinking about this

Regardless of what I put on top I need a concrete base.

    3mx3mx100mm
    (Pic with material calculation)

Been looking into building a bunker sorter thing but is looking a little pricey

    So maybe a metal shed.

If I was to put a tent inside the metal shed would it still need insolating if lights are on at night. I can always leave a heater inside?????

Since you posted this thread you have got me thinking about building a new shed at the bottom of the garden and having a separate groom as part of the bigger structure. Internal insulation regardless of what kind of materials you use for the shed is a must and will pay for itself within a year on electricity savings, in winter for heating and you will still be able to grow quality bud in summer.

My idea has been to have a large space like yours, with a tent inside for the flower stage, and the rest of the space for veg and propagation. Plus storage for all the nutes and bits and bobs that growing seems to accumulate.

What is your rough estimate of cost for the base?

Self mix, theres about £150 worth of materials, ready mix would prob work out the same for a C10/Gen1 mix

Also that shed pictured is uninsulated and they are a right pita to insulate yourself. Brick/Block or Timber if you want to grow in it

Cant believe I missed this thread

Just to add, its not a good idea to put the intake in the concrete, it fills up with shit/rainwater etc.

This shed looks good. You can insulate it for Winter, and run AC for Summer.

    Thanks for the response people

So looking like it's gonna need insolating then.

Maybe a basic timber frame lining the inside of the shed stuffed with Rockwool and weather treated ply finish? .obvs painted.

I'm gonna draw out what i have in mind later

Old industrial fridge panels are easy to work with and normally cheap to get second hand ones . They are self supporting up to 3m already insulated already bright white and can be painted any colour. Have look around see if you can find anything local to yourself 🇬🇧

You could chuck a gutter and water butt on your garage. Plenty of rain up there for free water

Or that might be a shit idea... only on my second grow and only jusr started thinking about getting a butt for my garden
