Default Intake and exhaust fan question!

Hello i got 1 plant im growing in a cabin that is 60cm high 80cm long and 40cm wide, i got a 12v computer fan as intake and a 12v computer fan for exhaust, is this good for this small place, or is only a intake fan enough with only a hole as a passive exhaust?

you are always better to exhaust the warm air rather than leaving that passive,
remove from as high up as you can go - that's the warmest air

Yeah i got the intake as low as possible and the exhaust at the top of the box, should both fans be at full speed? Or dhould the exhaust be slower or vice versa

Worth noteing is that the intake fan is double the size of the exhaust fan

exhaust should always be faster, removes more heat/smell and creates negative pressure,

Swap ya intake fan for the extraction. Extraction is most important as what ya suck out will get sucked bag in . As above ya want the extraction working harder than the intake. Negative pressure is a must to stop smells escaping 🇬🇧

Can you swap the intake for the exhaust? Save slowing intake fan down.

As monster says it's negative pressure your after

I have already made holes so the intake fan fits perfect so the exhaust fan does not fit, will it be okay if i turn the intake fan to 6V and the exhasut to 12v or something like that

    Hello Sunshineer

We use larger AC centrifugal fans on the whole. Those axial PC fans ( a few excepted ) produce little or no torque, no static pressure and will not achieve a decent flow for your growing environment.

But what about smell? Thats when you will realise definitely you cannot use a PC fan

I say this as a guy that started in a cupboard with PC fans!

Might be ok for a propagation box, thats about it

Oh okey, i used pc fans now because it was the easiest to find, and cheapest. I turned my bigger intake fan down to 4.5 V so it blows in a little bit of air all the time, and my exhaust fan wich is smaller than the intake fan is at 12V, so now i dont feel much air blowing out of the gaps around the box, do you think this is decent as it is, keep in mind im trying to keep it simple because im very new to this!

Will the plant not survive at this setup?, The smell that can get through the fans is not a problem,

Never say never but you won't be able to control your environment which is everything with growing cannabis.

You might get away with it in winter. Noone will encourage you to run with smells unless you are in a legal country / state
