    Default Question regarding CBD oil

Hi talkers, i suffer from arthritis badly and have taken CBD oil for it which worked fine in loosening up my joints but didn't have much in the way of pain killing properties my question is is there any easy way of getting THC into the CBD oil, i have but to hand and also kief just wondering if there was an easy way as i'm not really set up for making oil myself as yet, cheers talkers, G'.

Just take your CBD oil followed by a dose of THC but you are far better off growing a CBD strain such as Candida CD1 along with a high THC strain. You can then find a ratio that works for you.

If you can only grow one plant then go with a 1:1

THCa is also good for inflammation so you can part decarb and have both THCa and THC

Do you mean decarboxalting it by cooking it in the oven at 220 F for like 25 minutes ?

That falls within the decarb parameters, and there are all sorts of protocol out there. The sweet spot seems to be 110 degrees Celsius (230 F) for 110 minutes.

Decarboxylation starts to occur at 90 degrees C, so exposing oil or plant material at that temperature for longer would achieve the same level of THCA to THC conversion, BUT there could be damage to other cannabinoids due to the longer exposure. You win some you lose some.

There are some really kickass research papers posted on here, really worth digging into those.

If you wanted to.part decarb would you reduce the time ?

Ooohhhh published research papers... nice . I normally read them around nutrition exercise and health for my degree (super mature student lol). I will have to take a look.

    HONESTLY - I. DON'T. KNOW.

I do mine under oil at about 95-100 degrees Celsius, 120 mins. That has worked okay for me though the quality of plant-ingredient plays a large part.

When we do a full decarb, we are converting the THCa into THC

If I need THCa along with THC. I’ll split my batch in half and activate one half only. I extract them separately, boil off the solvent on the decarbed batch and let the non decarbed evaporate naturally.

Then either gently warm them in a water bath and mix both together or keep them separate, whatever suits at the time

For maximum THC, decarb at 110c for 110mins
