    Default Answered: Hr15 humidifier help

Hello Guys hope all is good.!!
I have a hr15 humidifier and it keeps stopping so think it needs a clean and wanna ask what's the best way to clean inside.

I did flush the pipe going into the humidifier from flexi tank and shit loads of gunk came out but now i have loads of hard water etc inside humidifier.

    Thanks in advanced.

  2. "I took the whole thing apart and descaled it piece by piece with cillit bang (say loudly for full effect)
descaled then washed with fairy, rinsed with hot water, dried, re-assembled. only use ro water or it will scale up again and mist up your reflectors and clog your carbon filter. good luck.
another guy I know fills the reservoir with a toilet de-scaler solution and operates the humidifier while it's tied up in a large bin bag for an hour or so then rinses it all off and re runs with water.
    RO WATER!!!"

    Yes mate, all good thx.

I was meaning the actual water tank, most are glued together so you cant separate to clean so you have the fill hole to work with

Get a dehumidifier, BANG the dirt is gone.

Store the water collect by the dehumidifier during flowering and use it in the humidifier when vegging 😉

I came up with it the other night. If I'm honest my fuck up gave me the idea. I just got a 2nd hand dehumidifier. It didn't come with the plumbing kit though. I've got a 65ltr box to drain into.

That's ok though I'm handy, I'll get some hose that fits, which I did and then I'll make my own rubber bung for the internal tank, which I did.

I came home from work the day after turning it on to find my groom 1inch under water. Nothing in the 65ltr box either. So I cleaned up real quick, pleased I water proofed the floor. Then I looked at the dehumidifier took the hose off the back to find the rubber bung that I needed in side the out pipe pmsl. What a dick lol.

It was the cleanliness of the water as I rung out the cloth that made me think I could use it on a complete cycle.😉
