put seeds into a glass of room temp water - until the seeds sink to the bottom - 6-24hrs usually
put those seeds into moist sealed kitchen Roll for 2-3 days, checking daily - when taproots appear plant them but keep the tops/seeds at 1/4 inch from the surface if you can

can't say 100% success rate but it's definitely in the high 95%

This is how I do mine:-

Seeds have had a good overnight soak & both have also sunk so I expect them to open soon

Now, to help the nubes a little, a quick tutorial on germing seeds...

You need a tupperware type container & a paper towel

    Fold the towel

    And fold again

Wet the towel & lightly squeeze out any excess water

...and line the bottom of the container

    put the seeds in

...and cover with the rest of the towel

Pop on the lid and job done

    Keep somewhere warmish & wait
It's Not What You Know, It's What You Can Prove

Before the seed is out the soil?

Just me but I wouldn't used it at all germing the seed. I don't think it needs it until it's sprouted. It's for roots, I'd wait until you have some.
