Default Help with temporary carbon filter

I just wondered if anybody could give me a bit of advice, i'm nearly ready to start my grow but before starting i'm thinking of fitting a second carbon filter and pc fan as a backup running off a 12v battery basically incase of power outage or when annual electric and gas checks are done so it wouldn't need to run for that long, just didn't know if it would work, any help is appreciated

U could always use a pillow case and charcoal..... or just get a bunch of activated carbon, and rig it from there. It’s a valid thing, but I would instead just worry about ducting and quieting down the fan... seems like less work.

If your in the UK get to bnq or screwfix. You can buy a filter for cooker extractor. You buy a sheet and cut it to size. You can double or triple the thickness depending on how much smell you want removed.

If it's more than a tenner I'd be surprised 😉

Yeah that’s what he means. Just make sure it doesn’t slow your fan down too much as it will work harder with the filter attached by reducing its air flow 😃🇬🇧

And does anybody think a 12v double fan out of an Xbox 360 would be ok blowing across the plants to strengthen them up
    Cheers
