    Unhappy worms in my soil?

just bought some black magic soil, was using it to replant some aloe vera plants and found a masive worm in it, i have a weak stomach when it comes to slimy things so threw her in the garden. is this normal to buy soil and get worms in it?

Lots of soils/compost can come with cocoons/worms in, we’ll a good quality On my one in general anyway because it’s a sign there’s still some life left in there,
It gives me a good sign when if I ever order Earth worm castings that there a decent quality and the last thing I’d do is take it out my pot, I’d be hoping theees more in there

I was chopping up my old soil/root balls the other day for reusing and was absolutely shocked well actually gave me a little fright when I noticed something alive in my pots. Had around ten huge earth worms in it . Surprised I was but happy because they have to be a good sign . Is there anything else I need to do with my old soil before I start using it again. 😃🇬🇧

I used Black magic on my first grow. It is a premium soil and does come with worm castings, bat guano, mychorizae but also lots of slow release ferts. It's quite a hot mixture and doesn't need feeding for a long time

yea when i first did some research I liked it and got it, but then read that the slow release nute balls are no good and also they are owned by miracle gro. but was on its way so used it anyway. might get the CANNA terra pro soil when repotting but will see how this performs
