    Default Thrips?

Hello all, it's been a while since I've posted here, I lost my Nan to cancer this year after a 9 month fight. She lasted 3 months longer than the Dr's gave her.
Not one to dwell on things that are out of my control, I was looking for a little advice.

I have what I assume to be a thrip problem, I have noticed damage on the lower leaves of my plants, it looks like small, white/silver trails & small dots of the same colour, I have also noticed tiny black dots on the very same damaged leaves.

I have attached 2 pictures to the post via tapatalk, I'm pretty sure it's thrips, but thus far have been unable to find any of the pesky little bastards.

I have Horticultural soap & 100% cold pressed neem oil at my disposal. I also have a rather large bag of Diatomaceous Earth to maybe add to the top of the coco.

My EC has been around 1.0, 0.7 background. pH is ranging from 5.8 - 6.0, the plants are currently under a 400w dual spec(dimmed to 250w) on a gas lantern light schedule in veg. They also suffered heavily with fan/heat stress in their seedling/cutting stage & some of the older fan leaves are still showing the damage.

As I mentioned, I'm pretty sure it thrips, I was just wondering what would be the best course of action to remove these pests before I flip them hoes to flower.

Thanks for taking the time to read this post.

    Loki

    Hey Loki.

Sorry to hear about your nan. That's a shitter, mate.

AND already posted Macky's link about thrips. It was created in the last month, so the info is up to date. Best of luck beating the buggers...

Horrible bloody disease, my dad has liver cancer and doesnt have a huge life span. I was lucky and they found my tumor before it became cancerous and just removed my gallbladder with the tumor in it in december.

Thanks for the information lads, I'm going to check the thread in the link. Hopefully I'll get this sorted soon enough, I've defeated the dreaded spidermites & powdery mildew too. Thrips are no match to an Asgardian God of Mischief.
