I understand the reason behind wanting a shortcut on the trimming, but why would you spend months growing, flowering & drying the plant, to half arse the last bit.

HArvesting and trimming is something i enjoy. Roll a fat one, put something good on to watch or listen to and settle in to do some trimming.

Give the auto trimmers a miss, mate. They'll butcher your buds. Best to take your time and do it by hand. Patience is a virtue 😊

I’ve have discovered recently the wonders of dry trimming lol

Chop the plant at the main stems and leave everything on it. After a few days the fan leaves are dry enough to trim off easily, a few more days sugar leaf can come off.

This makes the trimming staged, so not so much of a chore, you handle the buds less when they’re wet, so you damage them less, so they look pukka. And most of all, when you chop those wet leaves off, chlorophyll comes out of them, and onto the the buds. Because it’s on the outside of the buds, it cant be broken down, and will dry into the buds, giving a harsher smoke. Leaving it to dry, gives it time for the chlorophyll to break down, and also stops any getting onto your buds.

Dries much slower in the heat too!
