Hello,
This my first time joining any marijuana forum. I haven't been much a lurker but threads always come up in my google searches as I scour the net for information in my limited off time.
This my first grow that happened sorta by accident. Found a random single seed in a bag of Diamond Og that I regularly purchase from local dispensary, and it just happened to be around the end of march, so I thought, let's stick it in the ground and see what happens. Much to my surprise, 4 weeks later I had 4ft super thick and bushy plant that was producing pistils... the addiction began. She's currently about 5ft tall and about 5ft wide, in a 25 gallon smart pot and well into flowering, not sure where in the flowering cycle she's at, I'm guessing it started late July, so I'd hazard a guess of a month plus. Been trying to go 100% organic on my first run. It's been challenging, I've never gardened before but I have an extensive education in the biologies and medicine that has helped me out.. a little bit.
Been dealing with issues the last couple weeks that has me finally breaking down and signing up and saying hello to you fine folks. Pests and PM have been a little dicey and difficult to keep at bay for the last couple weeks. And there has been a mass exodus of healthy fan leaves in the center of the plant. Not the lower leaves, the middle and deep fan leaves. I went on vacation for four days right when this issue was escalating, came back and its advanced to the top leaves and even the fan leaves (not sugar leaves) surrounding the colas on the outside of the plant and over 30 leaves went yellow in under 5 days. There are a lot of leaves to go yellow though, since I've never trimmed her in any way shape or form, but the rate at this stage is still fairly concerning for me. The yellowing leaves higher up and and around the colas have red stems. The yellow leaves deep and in the center of the plant have yellow stems.
I sure this is probably some Ph or nutrient issue. I just don't have the tools or the money (still a student) to get the tools to really narrow it down. And controlling pests during flower has been... a challenge.
Anyway I'll keep scouring the boards for information, and once I have ten posts, I'll post a thread in the infirmary forum w/more information and w/pictures.
Thanks guys!
