Been away with work and havent been able to do as much as I want

Got some more ducting printed, the big case holding all the electronics takes 28 hours to print!

The led driver case now holds power supplies for 5 channels of lights and is all dimmable! It takes 24volts in from another powersupply, which I fried doing something silly, so I'll have to wait for a replacement.

The nute tank lid has been printed along with an insert that has holes to accept all the sensors:
    EC
    pH
    Temperature
    Tank level
    Also the 15mm return/fill pipe.

The root chamber lid is printed and screws through the floor of the main grow space.

I was hoping to have the root chamber drain with gravity, but everything is tight on space and the heights wont lst that happen, so I have another pump on order. Once that's here the liquids part of the system is 60% done - enough at least that I can get start writing some control software.. (Still need to find space for the RO filters!)

Need to finish the recirculating duct path, theres an important part I havent got around to designing yet, which will be an absolute bitch, i can already feel it.... it will take the duct from the back, and curve 180 degrees to the bottom of the radiator.

Some parts of the duct feel like overkill, but I intend this to be as sealed as possible, effectively making it near air tight, doing this means most of it is being glued together to make sure!

I made my own EC probe, having found examples online for £30-£120!!! Hint, it's just a plastic tube with two (fairly) nonreactive metal probes with a 1k resistor inline. I used nickle plated screws, may have to swap them in the future, we'll see.

I got the software to read the EC, pretty accurately too, I was surprised how consistent it was.

I cant wait to have the water and recirculation path for the air duct done, alot of the software could be written at that point.

Hope everyone is good! I havent had time to browse much recently

I've not been playing with this for a while and got the bug again.

Finished the lighting rig now and can now control the channels and mix various frequencies.

It works surprisingly well but a couple of little glitches to work out...

First is a 1200w boost converter taking the 12v supply up to 24v to send up to the 5 channel controller, which houses the individual led drivers. From that is a chunky 7 core cable to the led board.

This is basicly a 5mm sheet of Alu, with a bit of bracing to fit hooks too...

At full pelt it gets pretty warm, haven't yet done a full 24hr soak of it, but I may have to fit some extra heat sinking to the back, won't need much though I think....

Also got the air system 33% done, it works as a recirculation system now. The four fans in the top section are pwm controlled also. They converge and are ducted down and back in to the bottom vent- this floor vent is also the radiator which can have the chilled nutes passed through it and can then provide some air conditioning....

This could also dehumidify, so there is a drain fitted to the lower part of the duct to drain to waste...
