Would go with the tap mate some bottled water is high in nitrates look at the dry residue label on the back of the bottle can if its high it put too much Nitrogen into the soil. Happened to me a while ago ended up burning my autos.

Quick online research shows me that RO water takes a lot of stuff out that the plants need

Right bud had a look at the small print on label in the picture and what your using is Ro filtered water.
RO water is like a blank slate. Its good because you know exactly what you have added to the water so you know exactly how much your giving the plants per feed but you need to account for trace elements too that unfiltered water usually contains as these will also be missing.
For soil I use plain old tap water mate but I think alot of it comes down to preference Ro water is used alot more in hydro I'm sure .

Living in the apple with rust in your water is risky for plants and people. A basic charcoal filter will remove most of the metal and would be a major improvement. You might find the filter clogging much faster than advertised due to the high content of solids in your water. Adding a simple, washable, sediment pre filter is a good way to extend your charcoal filter life. You will be shocked how fast the pre filter turns black.

If you can let it sit for 2 weeks instead if 24 hours you will evaporate most of the chlorine and chloramine. 24 hours does nothing for chloramine.
