I find breaking the harvest up over a few days helps. I'll take off all my large fan leaves and hang the whole plant for a couple of days then go back and trim some branches off and trim them one at a time. Keeps yo drying process nice and slow as well.

Only thing I find when trimming with dryer leafs after hanging it's really difficult too try and trim the sugar leafs then. They definitely easier when still wet

being a "different type" i still use mine ,perfeck for oold arthritic hands with a battery drill powering it.

its a tool, same as anything else, you learn to use it over time.

far as buds being bashed, all my trimmings n bowl dust go into my slime ecig juice or sometimes edibles ,so nothing is lost(all my big fan leaves etc have yellowed and dropped long before trim so its just the little awkward leafage left),my bud will still nail you to the floor or chuck you into a whitey,so im unsure how much can of been "lost"..

I've trimmed by hand every grow except one, I started to use the bowl. I only tried it on the smaller stuff, but I soon realised that after spending months growing & training my plant, I wasn't about to disrespect it by jamming in a machine to be butchered.

I reckon them bowl trimmers are made for buds hammered with pgr. They would just bounce around inside
