Default Nutrient Burn at the end of the season

    Hi there,

I’ve made a classic newbie mistake and managed to get nute burn.

I know I need to trim off the affected leaves but I have a related query and would really appreciate your advice.

I’m growing in the greenhouse and it’s nearly Autumn and temperatures are dropping. The plant will soon stop growing due to the cold. I planted late [in early July] and the plant has been flowering for about 4 or 5 weeks. I guess I’ll have to harvest in the next couple of weeks barring a surprise Indian summer.

Should I delay cutting off the affected leaves and slow growth and maturing or shall I keep the leaves on as long as possible? What’s your advice about what I do now?

    All help is greatly appreciated

OK. Patience is a virtue! Do I need to get to 10 posts before I can upload a photo?

Here’s the struggling waif. I’ve treated it to a blast with the greenhouse heater.

    Yeah...erm.

Overfed, as you say, and I'm not too keen on the spots either...have you looked under the leaves for bugs? I'm itching, let's put it that way.

There’s no sign of any bugs. Just checked the leaves. A snail ate a couple of leaves but he got hoyed down the end of the garden

Here you go. The dead thing next to it is a tomato plant at the end of the season

She's just not had enough light and with the overfeed as well, it's a challenge and no mistake.

Just give the girl plain water from now and, well...don't overbuy Rizlas.
