I would like to point out that OP said Sohum living soil. This is usually a water only grow without nutes. If no salt nutes are being used then salt buildup is not the issue. I am not able to see the photos on tapa so cannot offer advice.

What size container are you using? you should have a minimum of 4 liters of soil per month of grow time imo.

Glad that it improved. I do not have experience with living soil but I was reading that it should not go through a dry period. when it dries out the organisms start to die. If she starts looking hungry you can top dress some fresh soil if you have any. Organic mulch is often used on top to help keep the soil moist and alive. Cheers and happy growing.

Hopefully this tapatalk issue gets fixed soon and I can see your photos. I am very curious.

Also try to feed water very slowly to increase water absorption in the soil with minimal runoff. You can use up the good stuff in your soil. No point washing it away. The runoff is all about washing out and preventing salt buildup. Does not apply to you. I would not flush either. Just keep her wet but not swimming. It's a balance of allowing the roots to breathe and keeping the medium moist.

Just noticed that manufacturer recommends bottom feeding. Sounds smart to me. Keeping top dry is a great way to keep bugs away.
