I wrapped my normal 12" ducting in a double duvet, works very well.

the single skin silver stuff is noisy due to the many many pin holes in it,
also it leaks light and definitely should be avoided

hope ya sort it, nothing worse than a constant humming - damn u dehumidifier lol

I started with combi but found phonictrap to be better. Skipped trying insulated cause I was warned about the mess. Phonics was def an upgrade. My only noise issue now is how much noise the air being sucked through the filter makes. I plan on slowing the air using larger ducting with reducers. I did it on the exhaust end already and it's very quiet.
I spent a lot of time and money making a layered isolation box for my fans... made a big difference... until I attached ducting and the noise moved from fans to duct openings. So box was a massive waste of time for me unfortunately lol

Tell me about it been growing for 7 years and only just noticed all the tiny holes. Maybe because i dicided to get the cheap ducting this time i noticed it was like rice paper compared to the thick stiff ducting i normally buy thats what happens when you buy cheap a suppose.

Pushing through my filter instead of pulling dropped my noise mate might help you if you can set it up.

Have you got many bends in the ducting? If so, you want it straight as possible.

Worst is aluminum semi ridgid flex dryer vent . Its much sturdier but carries the noise . Actually amplifiez the fuckin noise lol .

Ive got this class 1 ducting . Stops noise direct in its tracks . And my blower is 3' away from the terminal .
