    Default Led and calcium

What's the actual science behind calcium deficiencies when growing with Led compared to hps/mh does the spectrum leds work at have an effect on calcium uptake or is it something else.

I read it has nothing to do with LED lights and more to do with LOWER intense temps at leafs level in the grow area meaning less calcium ions freely move through the plant .

Makes total sense as We all know weed outdoors has much higher than 40 direct from the sun on some days , and under hps still has that intense heat , But LED are WAY cooler

Anyway im on my 1st run under LED and had a calmag issue , SO i just added some calmag into the mix and problem solved

A good question to ask our LED light sponsors. Put their feet to the fire .

I think it prohibits uptake at the roots or its need is more because of the lights im still on the fence and csnt find a definate answer . Ive read a report from MIT horticukture facuktt saying it prohibited its uptake in hydro .....

Im anticipating cal/mag def on my grow sure I had it last time under the Leds if I was smart I would have added dolomite to the soil before hand. Hindsight and all that lol.

Theres very little / no research done into growing cannabis indoors due to its legality. Lets hope it starts soon where its legal to do so.

Gotta wonder tho surely cannabis must be one of the most diverse plant species around considering all the breeding and worldwide spread.

To think alot of people who just loved using green have altered the plants course of evolution into the future with no massive input from corporations and done mostly underground in fear of the law is pretty cool I reckon lol.

Ive tried to find peer reviewed white papers for lighting and nutrition and theyre just not there, specifically for canna

Federal law prohibits even legal states from taking grants. UK and Europe same.

Agree how its very cool how so much has developed underground.

Loads of hemp studies but thats different again

Well it wouldnt be the first time cannabis research has been swept away by goverments or just squashed all together. I think the scientific community will get more involved when companies can smell profits and lobby the goverment and pay research grants to get ahead of competitors. Crazy money in it now.

Sometimes I sound like a proper tinfoil hat haha.
