Default Cal mag and clay pebbles

Hi everyone, quick question about cal mag with clay pebbles.
I used clay pebbles in my Wilma with good results on a few grows. But last time decided to try coco coir. Didn’t do very well so I’ve switched back to clay pebbles.
While I was using coco I used general hydro triple nutrients, and the grow weed easy site suggested using cal mag with these nutrients in coco.
Do I need to use cal mag with these nutrients in clay pebbles?
Hoping this isn’t a stoopid question

Cal/mag in clay pellets. More based on your background experience of your water, I have well water with an EC over 700 out of the tap so I very seldom use calmag. I have seen reference to the need for it in Coco.

    Brilliant Thankyou.
I didn’t think I needed it and they’re growing pretty well
