And also that should leave me about 20mm or so of L-angle left over to make a driver bracket. Or should I be trying to place the driver outside the case?

Another benefit of the C series drivers is that voltage drop isn't an issue for 2 reasons, even if you use a long supply lead
1. The voltages are high and current low to begin with so any drop is not significant
2. The driver will boost the voltage anyway to maintain the set current
So after much delay we are back on (had to wait for payday 😢
Forgot to take pics from the beginning but here it goes;
Got 2* of these
1* of these
Each strip has its own angle and then flat bar along the ends to hold it together, alu is mostly for strength as these will only be running at 350mah.
Cut alu;
This kids is why we measure twice cut (or drill) ONCE
Bolted together;
Ground the self tappers smooth, gotta save those fingers 😉
Dry fit;
All screwed in;
upload pic
Used these to connect up to my driver;
screen capture
We have light!!!!!!
Waiting on wago's, a waterproof 3-pin connector and a pot then I'm all done with this baby
