These are great but I would only use in veg and wear a chemical mask when going into the room. This stuff can cause long term damage to humans.

It will also help to lay yellow stick paper over the soil so that when the thrips fall off the leaves they cannot get into the soil. Their larvae feed on roots which can damage the plants as well.

Don't look like thrips to me....Classic spider mite damage. I would steer clear of "Hot shot no pest strips" I used them once and suffered a horrendous migraine that lasted 3 hours. I read someone suffered a seizure, nasty stuff keep away...pyrethrum 5ec would be your best organic approach. Or there are a couple of products called "Avid" and "floramite" These are quite expensive but there's a bloke on ebay that decants into smaller bottles at a reasonable price..Ebay item numbers 162636686398 & 162636686217

I only use these in veg. Never in flower. In a well sealed room. Using proper pesticide breathing mask and wearing gloves. After a week into triple plastic bags. Let it go a week and then I put it back for a 2nd week.

These strips are very dangerous and will not help with larvae in soil.

Do not breathe the same air as them!

I agree with this. Really looks like spider mites. I am surprised that he is not seeing webbing.

If it turns out that you do have thrips as well as mites then these guys work great for killing the larvae in soil.
