Get an oil filled rad from BNQ for £20.
Either stick it inside the tent on low(They are thermostatic) or put the rad in front of your intake so your pulling in warmer air.

Ok, tried an oil filled radiator which put costs up slightly. Back onto the electric heater and costs still continue to rise with the recent drops in temperature. Was over £8 for the day yesterday on electric.
Think I'll try changing to HPS lights for this time of year.
Any recommendations on a lighting unit or will this one do the job?
Or this even?

Insulate your garage. Reduce the heat loss in that structure and then simply put a low cost of running oil heater in the garage so your tent is getting warmer air. You will find that the insulation while costing a few pounds to put in pays for itself in one winter. Oh and also helps keep the grow space cooler in summer too. So win win.

To further compound this method... the garage is open rafters and no flat ceiling as such. I basically look up and see the underfelt below the tiles.
Its something that will be done eventually, but it's gonna cost a bit coz I'll need to put a ceiling up aswell.
Xmas, 2 kids birthdays, car tax and insurance all coming up before the end of January. Won't be this year but it's looking like the only option as the HPS light isn't helping all that much.
I've just started another 3 seeds to make the most of paying around £8 a day at the minute on the electric.
