Default Grow tent + light? First timer

Hi all, started my grow about 6 days ago now. Had the tent up and running with a 600w light. Struggled to keep temps below 30c and humidity was at a stupid low of 20-35rh. Have got a 10” desk fan inside and also a extractor to a filter, both running permanently to try keep temps down but can’t get the hang of it. Would you say the light is too much for the tent? Got to the point where I’ve taken the plants out because of how shite they look

Think I’m going to have to get a new light, 400w led?

Higher temps will be drying out the air so a weaker light might help. Are you using an intake or just using the negative pressure created from the extraction to pull in air passively.

I find my extracts so strong that my humidity is usually close to the humidity outside the tent since the airs changing so fast... Tho that does help suck out the warmed up air faster.

I left my bedroom windows open for a day and the room temp dropped, which gave the passive intakes cooler air.

Also what's your lighting schedule? Mine go off during the warmest times of the day (11am to 5pm) as I'm doing autos so that can help if you're not already doing it

I was hoping the negative pressure would pull in air as I don’t have a intake but doesn’t seem to be working. I know the tent works with the light (it’s borrowed from a friend who has grown in it with no problems) so must be me doing something wrong. The humidity should pick up as the plants grow bigger but for now I’m keeping them on the window sill until it’s about 2-3 weeks. Don’t want them to suffer being so small and sensitive

Also my tent is located in my garage, where it’s constantly cold lol.

M8 if the tent is in a cold garage you shouldn't really have any temp problems off 1 600w light...

Somethings got to be a miss, extractor fan is to weak to draw the heat out or not enough vents open on the tent to let fresh air in?

Something else you could look into is a cool tube but honestly if your tent is in a cold place you should really be struggling to keep it warm not the other way round, that's if you have a decent extractor fan running that is....

I'm guessing where ever you are it's also winter if its cold in the garage so the amount of light on the window sill is probably not going to be enough
