Personally I'm growing autos so they start in their final pots

Also when I did my 1st trial run a while back I had 3 in like 12L POTS 70% coco 30% perlite however I was watering them around 1L EACH TIME AND NOT GETING ANY RUN OFF I ran into ph problems as I didn’t have my blue lab truncheon or my ph meter but any reasons why I wasn’t getting any runoff if any at all? Should I be using some rocks at the bottom of the pots

You need to feed more than 1L in a 12L pot.

Make up a bigger mix. Keep pouring until you get run off. Same again day after. The second mount is roughly how much you need daiky. Aim for 15-20% run off

Repeat every week or so or if you see the media look dryer / wetter

Also I’m really RE THINKING the whole ro water then as I love top floor flats don’t fancy getting seen carrying water containers up stairs constantly lol, is there a good way of using tap water as I can only imagine that even if you use ph down and get it to say 0ph like RO water the tap water would still have a shit load of bad chemicals in for the plant or am I wrong?

Yeah, you need the run off, otherwise you can get salt build ups which, in turn, cause nute lockout

I use tap water. Leave it in its jug with the cap off for 12 to 24 hours before using. Think it allows some of those chemicals to then evaporate
