Need gardro to step and properly explain LEDs but lumens arent relevant to plants. I work off of PPF, aiming for 500-1000.

My LED is dimmable and for the first two weeks I run at 30w, slowly increasing to my max (130w total draw). I can run it 24/0 for 5 years without ever changing the bulb.

Factoring in a new bulb for HPS every year (£100ish) plus extra running costs, the difference over 5 years is huge. Its either 1 or 2 years before youve recuperated the initial spend. If I was upgrading my setup, id go 2x4 tent, 2 lights. Id be looking 8-10oz per cycle.

Iv gone from what iv tried to learn and lumens play A part of a whole in terms of light. but this is just internet forums where everyone has dif explainations..

Best wait under Gardro pops in , hes the talks resident LED lighting expert. I wouldnt even try to explain but lumens = brightness (what was can see so youd clearly notice a difference between a 250w and 400w). As far as i understand PPFD if much more effient for growing plants. LEDs are very effient, converting more light per watt that our girls can use.

    Gardro, gardro?

Can only speak for my own space. I dont need any heater as I run autos 24/0. The light has enough heat to keep my temps spot on.

If i had a dark peroid, id run a little heater just to tick over. Like a 30w tube heater and dial the extraction in. My light competes with a 250w HPS bit only draws 130w. Hence the savings

Haha yeah Id love to kit out a 1.2x1.2 with 4 of my LED lights. Pull about 520watts. Based on my previous grows I got 1g per watt from LEDs (best hps was 0.7).

Now the lights cost €800. But even without the yield the benefits are huge. When you factor that in, the extra yield would pay for the light. If I was going to a dealer. Purely percy though just to be clear. Hope that makes some sense bro.
