    Default Poaching for advice

Talkers, the time has come im currently in the last week of my current soil grow and plan on moving on into coco, plain and simple hand feeding ect nothing complicated.

    current equipment
    1.2x1.2x1.8 Secret Jardin DS tent
600w omega digi ballast with boost function
600w Omega Mh/600W Sunmaster Dual Spec HPS
    Euro reflector (upgrading to adjust-a-wings)
    temp/hygrometer
    20L pots
    6"rhino pro fan
    8" rhino pro filter

heres where the noob questions come, is PM oldtimers suitable for coco or not?
apart from the obvious blue labs ph and ec pens is there anything else that im going to need?

Im hoping to get started in about 5 weeks, so if theres anyone available to mentor me that would be perfect

    mon the coco buds

The Old Timers is an organic feed for soil, it cannot be used with coco

You'll need some ph up and down. And lots of time... watering and draining trays can take a while with all the runoff you get. Think you have what you need otherwise.

I use mostly the canna range (canna a and b, boost, pk 13/14, and rhizotonic. Also have some cal mag and silicone.

Thanks for the heads up, completley slipped my mind if im honest, you say it takes a while to water and drain im glad you mentioned this now so i can prepare to the run off tray on an angle to self drain into a suitable container.

I take it CANNA are the go to nutes for CoCo then or is there anything else out there that people swear by?

just trying to gain as much info as possible before I go all out in the coco world, got tempted before and abandoned ship before it even set sail, I plan on riding the wave properly this time.

I just went for canna nutes cause I've not read any bad things on em. Plus I bought canna coco and the canna folk claim it's best to use the same brand of nutes. Could just be a sales pitch ofc.

Wish I had space to have a runoff drainage solution... as it is I use a turkey baster lol.

I'm only on my 2nd grow... 1st in coco so no xp in any other nutes. There's a new growers guide to coco nutes thread on here by Blue. Helped me get my head around it all

I have heard good things about canna. I went with general hydroponics in my dwc, they have a coco line too. I've been happy enough with my nutes.

In addition to the other nutrients listed above, you're going to want some silicates.

Cheers for all the info mate really appreciated, the idea im thinking of isnt really space consuming aslong as you can spare about 20/30cm on the floor im going to build a simple frame that will hold 4 pots suspended 20/30cm screw 4 small screws into the bottom of each pot to hang a saucer from, to collect run off for each plant for ec measurements with a tray raised 15cm at the back and 5cm at the front so will have 10cm angle and pop a simple fish tank pump in there to pump out the run off after feeds.. now all this works a treat in my mind although il have to put it to the test to see if it actually works lol

Sounds good... but nothing involving gravity will work for me... I'm in a 3ft stealth grow so every cm counts

It's not too bad. I only needed to feed em every other day up until late flower. Then I started daily. May invest in something a bit more advanced than a giant pipette now that you have me thinking on it lol

Just ordered one of these. Will shift 500ml rather than the 30ml on the baster. Cheap and cheerful at just under 7 quid.
