    Default DR120 kit

Ok time to start shopping, was looking at this grow kit from greens.*

    1 X Secret Jardin DR120 Rev 3 grow tent measuring 120cm X 120cm X 200cm

1 x CAN RK150 inline fan (with 4m power lead included)

1 x Rhino Pro Filter 150/3001 x 5m of 150mm Acoustic Ducting (with 3 ducting clips and 3 heavy duty cable ties)

    1 X Parabolic 100cm Reflector1 X Maxibright iPac Pro 600W Ballast1 X Sunmaster 600W Dual Spectrum lamp

    1 X Pair of Easy-Rolls

    1 X Heavy Duty Timer

1 X Secret Jardin Monkey Fan

This kit does not seem to include a contactor relay, will I need one for a 600w light?

Will also purchase a 400w mh bulb for veg, can I use this straight after germination? Before I used to start my grow under florescent think it was a t5 coolfire, no longer have that equipment and I am trying to keep the cost down.

For a fan controller I was looking at the Variispeed, will a passive intake do the job or should I get an intake fan as well?

Growing media was thinking of using biobiz all mix soil and nutrients, had luck with it in the past, if any can suggest a better media and a link to a guide to go with it that would be great.

Decided to go with non auto fem seeds be begin with, going to veg 4 plants for around 6 weeks, what size of pots should I use for the veg and flower stages.

Will also need a get something to measure temp and humidity.

Thinks that's everything I needs to get started, if you can see anything I have missed please let me know, and apologies for so many questions.

Now a quick trip down the street to buy some black out curtians for my spare room

Tent should do fine since it's the DR and not the cheaper DS,
    the iPac isn't dimmable so you can't put a 400w on a 600w ballast

might wanna get a digital if you want/need to run different settings 250/400/600

    pot size 11lt-18lt ur choice

You wont need the relay tbh. The heavy duty timer will be fine for the 600w.
T5s are great for seedlings mate use it as long as u can b4 bangin 400w mh over an make sure there plenty distance as it will be little intense for young plants.

That rvk will.be plenty for that tent size mate an passive will be ok to.
Cheap fan speed controllers will do job mate but will buzz a little. I use ecotechnics fan controller crackin peice kit tbh.

As for soil got with canna terra or jacks magic mate. Swerve the bio bizz nutes or media matey shite an better stuff out there.
Dont forget your humidifier to. An with runnin passive buy some carbon cooker filter an stick it over the intake vents will keep bugs an light out

Thanks for the help after reading a few more posts and the replies to this thread I changed a few things. Firstly got rid of the kit, and prices everything separately, which worked out alot cheaper so I was able to add a few extra things into my order.

    Firstly changed my tent to a hydralab 1.2 x 1.2 x 2m

Change my lighting system to 600w LUMii BLACK Dimmable Digital Ballast Grow Light kit HPS Dual Spectrum Bulb, should solve the issue with the 400w bulb

    Added a t5 lightwave

Everthing else is exactly the same and I am still £70 better off

The canna terra or jacks magic, would u use these mediums the same as biobiz,is the soil already pre mixed with nutrients. If not using bio I grow or bio bloom what would you recommend?

Just a quick note, Ive been using a rhino pro filter for the last 3 grows and to be honest,im not that impressed. During flower time ive had real bad problems containing the smell,(especially on the last grow,) and I tried everything. Will be going with a mountain air filter when funds allow.

    Good choices

Most soils are nutrient good for about 4 weeks, personally I use Canna Terra and Dutch pro nutes. Lots swear by Old timers or Canna (formulated for Canna Terra soil)
