    None of them buddy no light always put lid back on its ever since adding an airstone. It usually go up abit to like 6.2 maybe a tad higher but with the stone it go Much higher like 6.8 7.
    I do have hard water 0.7 ec if that would make the difference?

    When I started in the NFT trays I had a air stone in the res. It did exactly the same by raising the ph. Never the ec though.
    No light leaks and no roots in the water either.
    Why is that bluey?

    Air it self has a ph reading, with the air pump you are pushing/diluting that air into the water which over time will change ya ph especially if ya pumping loads of air through the water

    I did the test . The stones are alkaline in nature . I put my rubber airtube rings in and voila no more rapid fluctuations .

    Why? Once I took it out the ph floated from the 5.5 I set it at to 6.2 over the week then it was ready for a rez change.

    So I tryed this I removed the stone and bought a rubber tube. Problem not solved ph still goes up like a rocket. Gonna try some wave machine next me thinks
