Default Need to keep seedlings ticking over for extra time before flip

I have some seedlings just sprouted. My circumstances have changed and I know I wont want to flip them for around 9-10 weeks. Is there any way I can slow them down or prune them to gain me some time. I have flowered mother plants that have been kept but they never seem to do all that well.
TO GROW A PLANT YOU NEED TO THINK LIKE A PLANT
