Default Peep holes in rdwc buckets

Hello lads, just building a new RDWC, problem is I will struggle to put peep holes in due to the bucket shape.

Do you lads think they are a must? The RDWC unit will only be used for flower I have a seperate one for veg. Problem is I do a sort of semi scrogg as I have height restrictions so once I get a net over them I will struggle to lift the pots. Once we are 2-3 weeks in the roots will need to look after themselves without any observation for the final 5-6 weeks.

I could root trim just before flower which would maybe help to keep the roots out of the pipes but I have no experience of this. Should the roots even be trimmed at such a late stage (just before flip)?

    Many thanks

That's my problem Trex mate the net pots are 8 inch so don't have room on the top lid for a flap It would be a right job to put a flap on the side up high but if they are a must have I will do so.
