    Default Post concussion syndrome

Not sure where to put this...

I had a concussion about 10 years ago. Hospitalised for half a day then sent home. But had symptoms for about 6 weeks after.

About 2-3 weeks ago I got my head hit doing sports and now I have all the symptoms: light sensitivity, headaches, nausea, dizziness.

Am kinda stuck home and can't do much.

Anyone got a word of hope or something that this would blow over soon?

It would appear that most cases dont go past the 12 week mark...

The rate of PCS at 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months postinjury was estimated to be 10.3%, 6%, and 0.9%, respectively.

This is from published research not webmd btw lol

I'd have a chat with my GP if I were you...

Yeah, thanks, M_C. Probably the best thing to do. One of the last things I want is a blood test though, and I am of that age where they start stuffing people with statins and beta blockers and pills of a similar nature. If I went to see them, they'd just be looking for excuses to make me fall in line. I have toed the line all my fekking life. Guess I am now paying for being a bit of a rebel LOL.

Yeah M_C is ultimately right and you.should go and see your GP. I was just answering the question of time scales for PCS nothing more
