No offence but stem splitting seems a bit like mis-information.

HOWEVER, this "tree ringing" make some sense. In the stems are directional plumbing called xylem and phloem. If the cut is done successfully, the plumbing is severed to stop anything travelling down to the roots, so the plumbing network becomes a one way system and whatever the roots absorb goes to the buds, and does not come down again. Why give to the roots anymore as the plant ic getting chopped in days?

Then again if the cut goes too deep, and all of the plumbing is severed, it's as good as having chopped early.

It's high risk for sure but if "no guts, no glory", "YOLO" it with caution.

This is how I do it too, give a nice clean flush, but what probably makes the most difference is a good two week flush, with a low ec through out the grow.

People do this little things differently, like signatures on a Grow lol. We all have our own way of doing things, many ways to swing a cat and all that
My grows are always low EC, I have only once ever hit an EC of 1.2 & that is with a background EC of 0.5! Often my EC is around 0.3 over baseline

Yea eh . I wasnt able to get over 1.2 with mine . At 1.3 the leaf tips burned . But 1.2 seems the sweet spot on most plants
