    Default Lighting Tech

    Hello Talkers

So im very much honoured to have a lighting section that overtime we can fill with some of the latest and greatest lighting technology out there. If you didn’t know, I have just a slight preference to L.E.D. lighting which very much stems from interests I have offline but have experience with all types of lighting.

Here are a couple of build threads that I have/am assisting with

    http://www.thctalk.com/cannabis-foru...tored-by-Gardo

If you have anything from a simple query to a full grow room specification that you would like any input on, please do post in this section. It is never a chore to get the chance to work with Talkers on their lighting.

We have a few lights under Thctalk review at the moment from the likes of Invisible Sun, Migro and Prakasa. Admin are always in collaboration with suppliers and manufacturers so watch out for anything exciting and new. No matter what, good or bad, you will always get the straight ThcTalk here when it comes to lights

They are a very very good lights those Sub

Sanlight S4W. They have optics over the LEDs so will capture all the photons unlike Q boards. This is more important in big grooms than small tents though

Bit pricey at ?530 for 140 watts (same output as 210w hps )

Virtually zero heat from them as well. Did I mention they finish the plants off with a 600HPS and start there pre flower with a 315 CMH (obviously don?t show on the vid as it was only to show the sanlight lol)

200 over 5sqm and only aiming for 25g per clone blew my mind ...but they hit there gpw consistently , I saw the figures n they are pretty much identical week to week.

Lots to consider for me on my return n new grow after Xmas.

I do like the look of the Q boards though

Gardo, what's difference with the invisi sun board and the hlg board? What sort of price is a board/light which covers 1x1 going to set me back?
Know naff all about led, never used one. Seeing the pics from Bensons grow has had me thinking. These mephisto I'm on with now under hps are frosty so could only imagine what they are like under a qb.

I don't have a full specification for IS Farm lad to do a fair comparison to Horticultural Lighting Group.

I'd go for 2no 250 kits at 400 less discount. My space is roughly that and they fit perfectly. The PAR is very good still at the sides.

While you ask, HLG are available officially in the UK now

Leds are renowned for THC fella that's a given

    Hi Gardo,

Do you think the IS 250 kits are better suited to this size space than the 265pro?

    Thank you for the reply.

Is it ?50 a board more efficient though?

I?m thinking of getting a 1.2x1.2x2 tent to put them in and start with just one until I know what I?m doing.

I don?t really understand the difference between them and suspect for a complete noob like myself it wouldn?t make much difference to the end result.

If I went for the 265 3000K that should be ok from start until finish right?

But if I went for the 250 should I go for 2700K as doesn?t look like any 3000K in stock? Got me thinking two 250 2700K might be what I?d need then if I ever was to upgrade to bigger space could try copy the build you?re helping Whiplash out with at the moment.

It's best not to use 2700K on its own, it needs a little blue adding to it for full grow cycle

    3000 or 3500K is optimal
