Default 38 years ago, RIP John Lennon

The world is just as crazy as ever, we still don't have peace, we still hate each other, we still have religion, children are still starving, wars are still being fought.

It doesn't seem as if anyone is screaming for peace any more, we have all just gotten used to the madness.

I still hear you John, RIP man.

Was an awful day in 1980. I was 13 and already obsessed with The Beatles so it hit hard.

It was utter bewilderment...why would anyone want to do THAT? I still can't listen to Starting Over without feeling as though I'm gonna sob....just so plaintive given the circumstances.

The documentary that was on last week is amazing, Macky, if you haven't already seen it? I believe it's still on Catch Up....shit-ton of footage I've never seen before.

I'm not sure what sort of difference Lennon would have made in the years since his death but if he only existed to highlight the futility of the subjects you mention and on the widest possible platforms, then I can't help but think we could be in a better place than current.

    What an awful waste.

That line in beautiful boy, " I can hardly wait, to see you come of age" tragic man, he never got to see it

I think he would have inspired more people to do more, and things would have been different. He would have done more than Paul has! Pail just carried on with the music John became an icon, and a leader of a movement, that seems to have ended when his life did.

I have his home recordings in the car, amazing music. I have this raw, rustic version of isolation, it's just amazing. He feel his anger, his emotion more, in his unpolished recordings.

" I don't expect you, to under stand. After you've caused, so much pain. But then again, you're not to blame. You're just a human, a victim of the insane"

So powerful, it gives me goosebumps writing it. We are all just pawns in the mind games of mad men.

I loved his music but not his views for the most part . A little too Communist for me .
