Just a hat tip to Original Organics

They sent me the wrong size beds (80 instead of 200L)

So I rang to sort it out

They rang me back after investigating within the hour saying not only are they sending me the right ones but I can keep the 2 80L beds

    Outstanding!!

Lol 400 litre of soil to make mate

Just for clarity this is for vegatables in my garden and not canna beds.
The organic bed for the canna is 10L lol

Get this garden going and I have endless supply of worm castings and compost and won't be be buying much for growing again unless I move

Closing the loop as Redz would say

Thats the plan mate and all that organics outside will cone inside for growing organic weed in my little box. Its gonna take a year or two get it all running but eventually I will have rich organic soil in my garden growing veggies and plants that go into the compost bin, which then gets put into the worm bin with kelp and neem, which then goes back to the soil. After a few cycles the quality of everything will be crazy high and my weed will get grown with all that goodness.
    Its a beautiful thing man

Realistically I should if done this on receipt, however, I wanted to wait for my daughter to finish school and do it together

Bedding in, worms in, a little food and leave for a week.

    REDZ

Whats the crack with the worm juice mate? Any advice on using?

Also how much kelp/neem do you feed the worms and how often?

My plan is to use browns and greens from the bottom of the compost bin and food and neem/kelp in layers as I have it available if that makes sense.

Is there a system for which layer to add kelp and neem to?

    Many thanks Brother

    Hey gaz
As for the leachate I wouldn’t risk it with the canna but I’d use a little in the veggie garden I don’t really do much when it comes to the anaerobic microbes really as it carries more risk, but I will use the bokashi in a anaerobic environment say in a topdress situation.

With feeding the worms mate just start with a little weekly maybe and you’ll get to know the fuckers.
Have you had any escape yrt? I’ll be surprised if you don’t find some on the floor pmsl
I’ve got some great pdf’s on this too, you’ll have to gimme your email!
Worms and vermicompost is such a interesting thing in itself brother I find myself slipping into another world with all this.
There’s a book I want to order but I just don’t think I have the time to go in 100% on it ffs
    Soon brother

That's happening with my worm bin at the moment, worms try to escape because it's been cold here the last couple of days.
Nothing to worry about though since there's still plenty left and always loads of eggs that will hatch when it gets warmer again.

I never could understand how the worms work. I know they eat up all the N, and I guess they poop it back out. lol
