    Default Info on drying/curing

Hi lads. Chopped the plants and began the drying process 3/4 days ago, il keep drying until the stems snap. Temps and Rh are sitting at 17.9c and 50-65rh. Checked on the buds earlier and they just smell like grass/hay lol. I?ve seen online that the smell will come back to weed with the cure? Is there anything I need to do other than place buds 3/4 full in glass jars and store in a dark cool place for a week or two?

Cheers G. As long as the smells comes back it’s all good lol. Didn’t realise how much it would smell like hay it kind of makes you think you’ve done something wrong haha. All about learning with these plants eh.

So glad I found this forum just before starting mate, helped me so much. The buds that I’ve got drying are really dry and crispy to touch (still really sticky though) makes a little crunch when I squeeze. Temps have been fine, the stems still bend and do not snap. Is this normal for them to be this dry and crispy?

Just because they're dry outside doesn't mean they're dry inside. Stem snapping is the best sign that they're ready for curing...
