So I’ve had my harvest sitting in air tight jars now for just over a week, burping them daily for about 25-45 minutes and my rh doesn’t seem to be dropping past 70, I think having the fans on in the tent when drying messed it all up for me because the buds seem dry and crispy the smell has kind of returned, when the jars are open I smell the weed, but when I smell a individual bud I can’t smell it hahaha

if it's jarred up and sitting at 70%rH in the actual jars, they aren't dry enough to cure yet
id get them out for a day or so, last thing you want is mold mate

the outside might be dry to the touch but the moisture is still trapped inside the buds

Cheers for this mate, been confused as to why it wouldn’t drop lol. It’s proper dry and crispy. Il get it out soon as and stick it back in the tent to dry for another day or two

I belive this is what happened to me i jard my buds to soon. Im doing what your doing this time and reading with a meter. I read online to what monster is saying. If its going above 62% like yours have then dry them abit more. Brown paper bags is good to make the drying a little slower also.

70% is very high for curing, is that the rH% inside the jars after 24hrs closed?
ambient room rH can change those readings sometime

I believe if you are burping your jars in a room that has an Rh of 70% then that's the reading you will get in the jars, in my opinion the outside Rh should be lower than the 62% your looking for but if your nugs are truly at 70% i would put them in brown paper bags or a shoe box for a day or two until the Rh drops then jar up again, all the best brother, G'.

I’m on it, cheers g! If this is the case how do you actually know when it’s dry enough to jar up?

if they are completely dried the rH% won't change in the jars,
so if you put them in at 70% and after 24hrs it hasn't changed at all..... that's probably over dried

air dry until the stems the buds are on snap, not the big thick main branches

i put my buds in at 64%-65% come back it's 66% - burp, close it again and repeat until it stops fluctuating usually round 61%

curing and drying takes practice unfortunately for us all, but ambient room rH% at jarring up does play a roll,
im in full flower now, rH% in my gRoom is 42% @lights on - dehumidifier is a lifesaver
