How to tell when a plant is perfectly ready to harvest?

i personally go by if its a 10 weeker give it a 11 weeks. also the buds should be rock solid at the top when you touch them.
the pistils should be around 70-80% brown as well

i personally believe the microscope thing is too hard.

Get a usb microscope mate, much easier. The best way to tell if your weed is done is by the trichomes. It's a skill you have to learn

Usb microscope is awesome man. I was in the same spot as you and got one for under $15. I still have no idea what im looking at but I can easily take pictures to post here now ????
