    Default Considering carbon filter placement

As my passive intake is on the left side of the tent, I'm thinking that's where the dehumidifier will be best placed if needed. The problem I have is that my carbon filters on that side also so will suck out all the dried air before it circulates. I'm wondering if having it on a small diy stand behind the pots would be ok? The extract fans pretty strong and at this time of the year high temps are far from being a concern. Will it matter that it's below the canopy? Thinking about 20 cm off the ground.

If the pics below work, that's how the setup is now. Lights are soon to be swapped for a DIY led board (see my mentored build).

if ya haven't room for your cF inside the tent simply push the air through it and place it outside the tent,
isn't just as affective but still gets the job done rather well

would go ducting>fan>filter rather than filter>ducting>fan>ducting
probably didn't explain that correctly lol

    digging the diagram

Yeah, I'd considered that as well, but there's no space outside the tent as it's built to be stealthy under a worktop

ahh that would explain it my friend,
no point trying to be stealthy with a filter just sitting on the floor hehehe

my carbon filter is attached with bungies to the support bars across the top, that's as high up as i could get it
hope ya get it sorted out

blow or suck, that is the question... pmsl

I've been reconsidering the filter outside strategy. My fan box is fixed to the wall and vents through the wall. If I put both the fan and filter in the fan box, would the positive pressure be sufficient to clear the air out?

I only ask cause I used to exhaust into my bedroom... all was fine till I went away for 2 days so had to close the bedroom door as I had a dog sitter picking up the pooch. Came back to a lot of condensation that led to a bit of mould around the windows.
    Fan box is about 40cm(h) x 66cm (w) x 40cm (d)

do they both fit though? if so id try it mate

just attach the extractor directly to the filter,
it's the same result, filtered air with no smell

Need to have the best ducting and clamps if pushing smelly air into a CF, leaks reek!

I think I'll give it a go... the box is only about 20cm from the tent so not much ducting for me to mess up.
Will need to drag out plugs n lights soon anyway so will do it at the same time.
