Default Young plants not doing well at all :/

(I've reposted this bit from my diary here to get more relevant views - hope thats okay)

Douh! Been a bad week in the erby house lol. First the dreaded rot in some of my buds and now this on my youngens: (see below for pics)

I gave them their first nutes 3 days ago. 1ml per litre of old timers organic grow.

Humidity is low between 40-45, temps stable between 21-25c

I've bought some cal mag but not used it yet as I wasn't too sure if it was needed or not..

    Any ideas gratefully received!

Forgot to add they are white widow, in soil, 3-4 weeks old, under a Migro at about 5o% power at 40cm.

id say it's light stress that has caused them to burn through there supply of magnesium rather quickly
the upturned leaf tips is a good sign it's light stress
if u have it id add Organic magnesium powder vs chemical cal/mg

can't see 1ml nutes doing all that damage in only 3 days
will add 'jmo' to save any drama

How are you watering mate as in how much and how often, just out of interest ?

More importantly maybe is how dry do you let the soil get ?

always though using airpots makes them dry out much faster,
since they dry from all sides 'jmo'

I wondered about her drying out too much and it kiliing off the microbes a bit, leading to nutrient uptake problems maybe ? Seen similar symptoms in another grow.

If this is the case you can use a tea like the biosys microbe tea to repopulate the soil microbiology and just try not to let her dry right out.

Heres the thing, whatever deficiency it is, identifying it is helpful in coco/hydro coz you can directly feed the roots with what ever you need.

In soil the microbes break down the organic matter and feed it to the plant and if this process is impaired for whatever reason and the microbes die the plant cant get what it needs and you cant simply feed the roots without compromising your organic grow and soil quality IMO

So my thoery is if the plant gets sick then something has upset the microbes and they need helping via feeding them, a consistent mositure level and adding benifical microbes back into the soil to try and reset the balance ?

    Sorry for the stoned ramble

Thanks guys, much appreciate the feedback.

Watering wise, I always wait until the pots are dry (I feel the weight). Seems to take around 3 - 3.5 days for this to happen.

I'll lift the light up and dim it a little more.

I only have mag-cal or cal-mag (whatever its called lol), should I use it or just work with the light do you think?

    Thanks again guys
