From what I have heard, soon all new vericals will electice and because of Russia attacking Ukraine, looks like there going to be a shortage of gas as Europe don't want gas from Russia,

The UK population is increasing fast so will the demand for electricity.

The government trying to get a smart meter installed in every home.

Sooner or later there has to be laws brought in for the miss use of electricity.
And the electic supplies will name their customers that use the highest amount of electricity.
(Over time working down the list)
Because we will rum low, anless the government act soon.

    Thoughts on this ?
Am I way off or do we need to act now?

Hi there buddy. Given current usage of electric cars and many people installing heat pumps there's two great reasons for using that amount of electricity. Also if you change supplier from the original the smart meter wont be compatible with their individual system and unable to read actively. always best to pay......i'm still yet to hear of an electrical company complaining or reporting someone for PAYING for using a lot of electricity.

Other than being able to remotely shut down the supply, one of the big benefits for them is being able to tell if there's unusual loadings on a line once most already have smart meters. Many aren't compatible with a new supplier mind. So if wanting to avoid monitoring change to a supplier that uses a different type of protocol of smart meter.

Seems to me that the government is intent on controlling every aspect of our lives. Whever that's the amount or type of energy we use, where and how we spend our money or if we can eat meat or not.
What can we do about it? Not much really. You could vote for the other party, but they're bank rolled by the same people and corporations anyway.
Revolution? Not likey, as long as people have Netflix and can get McDonald's delivered to their door, they don't seems to care anymore.

We can do plenty about it... but most people are sheep and are sleepwalking into a new style society - and it will be no one elses fault but theres.

    I agree
Most the time the public are lead to believe you have a vote but its alway controlled to some degree, just saying we are not control but steered a direction the government want us to go.

Your right and it's great advices about changing suppliers, the way the government is pushing smart meters on everyone and going on about using less electric and the cost of electric is going up makes me wonder what their next move is?
